The Borough Assembly Conference ~ Summer 2010

The third Borough Assembly was held on 9th June 2010, in Sharnbrook and was attended by 305 people representing 137 agencies and community groups.  It's the first time that the conference has been held in a rural setting, with a programme shaped, planned, and delivered by local community representatives.

The day was planned to be rewarding, good fun and to have cut the formality to a minimum.

The four workshops were interactive and designed to showcase good practice, facilitate learning and focus on partnership working in rural and urban communities and, importantly, would provide delegates with the opportunity for robust but positive discussions about the challenges facing local people.

Mini Conference write ups

The Partnership Board is keen for the next conference to be community-led and hosted in a rural area of the borough.  We will keep you posted on progress with planning and preparation for the next  Assembly conference, which is likely to be in the early summer of 2010.
